Swimmer at Killarney Pool rescued by lifeguards, dies in hospital

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A man has died after he had to be taken to hospital last night from the Killarney Pool.
A witness told NEWS 1130 the man was removed from the deep end of the pool, near the climbing wall, by two pool lifeguards.
The witness says lifeguards performed CPR on the man until paramedics arrived on the scene.
THIS JUST IN: A swimmer is confirmed to have died after being pulled from #VancouverBC's Killarney Pool yesterday. This happened around 7:30 p.m. Witnesses who reached out to @NEWS1130 late last night said the man appeared to be in his 20's and had been pulled from the deep end.

The Vancouver Park Board is not releasing the cause of death or the identity of the man.
From witness observations, it is believed he was in his 20s.
