Mounties called in after decaying body found near YVR

RICHMOND (NEWS 1130) –A decaying body was discovered in Richmond Saturday morning, and police and the BC Coroners service are investigating.

Richmond RCMP say the body was found in a remote area near Sea Island near YVR at around 10:30 a.m.

“This area has very limited accessibility. The advanced state of the body may require some time before a positive identification can be made,” says a release.

Police have not said whether foul play is suspected, noting the investigation is in its early stages.
