VANCOUVER (NEWS1130): As computers get more advanced, so do the hackers trying to get into them. According to McAfee, Social Networks like Facebook and Twitter will be targeted by cyber criminals, using more complex Trojans and botnets to build and execute attacks.
Abbreviated URLs make it easier to direct users to malicious web sites, while email attachments delivering viruses will continue to rise in volume and increasingly target corporations, journalists, and individual users.
But 2010 shouldn’t just bring more online threats. International law enforcement agencies are identifying, tracking and combatting cyber crime more than ever before and McAfee believes that in 2010 we’ll see more success in pursuing and catching these hackers.
