Baby boomers having to take care of generation before and after

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The baby boom generation is under more stress than ever, according to a new poll. A survey done by “Investor’s Group” finds 10 per cent of Canadians between the ages of 43 and 63 who have adult children also provide some type of support to their aging parents.
The combination of looking after kids, parents, and themselves is what experts call the Boomer Sandwich. Researchers have found people caught up in the Boomer Sandwich tend to experience increased personal stress, abandoned vacation plans, and reduced retirement savings.
