Two employees tied up and gagged during robbery at Yaletown restaurant

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Two Yaletown restaurant employees are extremely shaken up after they were tied up and gagged by a couple of thieves late Sunday night.  A man and a woman were closing up at Section (3) restaurant on Mainland Street when two armed men dressed in suits pushed their way in.

Vancouver Police Constable Jana McGuinness says the pair didn’t stand out.  “is it a clever disguise?  Possibly.  They did blend in with the night life and the restaurant scene down in Yaletown, perfectly and they were able to pull off this dramatic robbery.”

The suspects got away in a two-door dark coloured car, with a substantial amount of cash and jewelry from a safe.  They are described as about 5’10” to 6’0″ tall with medium builds and were wearing dark-coloured suits.  One of the men was also wearing a tie and a overcoat.

If you recognize them or have any information please call Vancouver Police at 604.717.3224 or Crime Stoppers at 1.800.222.8477.
