VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – It’s your chance to own a bawdy piece of Vancouver history.
The Cecil Hotel has a date with a wrecking ball later this year and next week the pole from its famous strip club will go on the auction block. The developers of a condo project being built on the site are hosting a gala Tuesday night dubbed “The Last Dance” with funds from the winning bid going to charity.
While the bumping and grinding is set to come to an end, the blues will continue at the Yale Hotel next door. The heritage building is set to get an extensive makeover once the new condo tower is finished.
