Take a spin on Park Royal’s ice skating canal

By

WEST VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – At Park Royal’s Winter Carnival you can shop and skate at the same time at Park Royal Village.  The Carnival, the largest community celebration on the North Shore, is going to see the Village’s Main Street converted into an outdoor ice skating canal.  The canal will be open rain or shine, but with the warm weather Vancouver has been experiencing you may be wondering how they are going to keep the ice from melting.  While the ice canal looks and feels like real ice, it’s actually synthetic.

Along with the skating there will be live entertainment, a beverage tent and a big screen TV that will show the entire Olympic broadcast so you can watch as you skate. The Carnival will take place from February 12th to February 28th.
