VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Crowds and closures could have been a perfect storm for TransLink.
But it describes the situation after yesterday’s dress rehearsal for the Olympic Opening Ceremony at BC Place in downtown Vancouver, as being handled “remarkably well.”
The crowds at Stadium Skytrain Station started lining up at around 8:20pm and were completely cleared by 9:30pm. TransLink is running “Games level service” again today to handle the increase in passengers. Skytrains will come in at 108-second intervals along the Expo and Millenium lines.
