OPP to investigate internal IHIT issue

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Ontario Provincial Police will take over the investigation into a possible inappropriate relationship between a Surrey Six murder case investigator and a witness.
RCMP say they are following a new external investigation policy which is meant to promote public confidence by bringing in outside investigators whenever possible.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has maintained information from the witness in question was not used as grounds for any criminal charges.
