The sounds of Vancouver during our gold medal triumph

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) –  Sunday February 28th was a day that went down in Canadian and Olympic history, as our men’s hockey team beat the Americans 3-2 in overtime.  You could hear cheers from coast to coast as we struck gold for the 14th time at the Games.

This Youtube video captures the sounds of Vancouver from the south side of False Creek as Team Canada won the gold.  People around the city stood in the street or on balconies cheering, some even firing airhorns.  Even boats passing by got caught up in the excitement.
