Attempted child abduction in Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK (NEWS1130) – Chilliwack RCMP are looking for a man who attacked an 11 year old girl Wednesday afternoon as she walked home from school along Fairview Drive, on Fairfield Island, in Chilliwack.
The masked man grabbed the girl from behind at approximately 1:10 p.m. and ordered her not move or say anything. The girl was able to break free and run home. Her attacker was last seen running off along Fairview Drive.
The suspect is described as having a large stomach, approximately 5′ 4″ tall, having a deep scratchy voice, wearing a mask with a large nose, a grey sweat suit with pockets, and a straw hat.
