Attempted abduction in Chilliwack

CHILLIWACK (NEWS1130) – A 17-year-old girl was almost abducted on Saturday and Chilliwack RCMP need your help.   

She was walking alone on the south side of Vedder River Bridge around 2 p.m. when a man grabbed her from behind. She managed to break free and call police.

The suspect is Caucasian, 40-years-old and six feet or taller, unshaven, with dark brown hair three to four inches in length. He was wearing a long sleeve shirt at the time and may be associated to an older model green pick-up truck that was seen in the area.
