VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Film buffs are lining up for the city’s documentary festival. Hundreds of documentaries will be seen over the next week at the annual DOXA Film Festival.
Founder Kris Anderson is celebrating the 10th year and is surprised by this year’s entries. “We have a real inspiring and upbeat tone to a lot of the films. I think, there will be a lot of inspiration to take away from it.”
She says entries are from around the world with a variety of music films as well as some heart touching ones, including a story about patients undergoing chemotherapy.
Most tickets cost $10 and the films can be seen at Granville 7 Cinemas, Vancity Theatre and Pacific Cinematheque. For more information on this year’s festival click here.
