Cameras taken down in Bacon Brothers neighbourhood

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS1130) – Cameras watching the Bacon Brothers’ Abbotsford neighbourhood have been taken down.

Constable Ian MacDonald says police have been in contact with people who live in the area, who believe the threats have passed.  “We don’t believe the cameras and the signage is a necessity, but obviously it is a tool that is at our disposal.  It’s one that is now tried and true so if the need precipitates it then we can return to it.”

The cameras were first installed in 2008, when police thought there were hits out on the brothers.  Jamie and Jarrod Bacon are currently in police custody, while third brother Jon has moved out of Abbotsford.
