VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – It’s a tragic story during Mother’s Day weekend. A woman has been charged in connection with the death of her adoptive mother.

Vancouver Police were called to Patricia Rose Pelletier’s home at East 51st near McKinnon Street on April 19th. After three weeks of investigating Constable Lindsay Houghton says they  made an arrest, turning a suspicious death into Vancouver’ fourth homicide of the year. “Arrested and charged with one count of first degree murder is Ms. Pelletier’s adoptive daughter, 58-year-old Junette Page Jobin of New Westminster.”

To add to that, Pelletier was also the widow of Vancouver Police Constable Kenneth Pelletier.

Details on her cause of death haven’t been released. Jobin remains in custody and her next scheduled court appearance is still to be determined.
