SURREY (NEWS1130) – RCMP and the City of Surrey aren’t saying much about their investigation into the actions of a former city worker from the Planning and Development Department who was fired in late February after accusations of fraud.
The City of Surrey hired accounting firm KPMG to do an audit on the matter. They say a more detailed investigation is necessary, so that information has been sent to the RCMP. The city says it’s also making changes to its internal procedures, so this doesn’t happen again.
It won’t release more information because of the police investigation.
