VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Ticket holders to Bard on the Beach have run into some bad news.
Christopher Gaze with the annual Shakespeare festival in Vancouver’s Vanier Park says a routine inspection of the main stage tent revealed a deformity in one of the sections. “So we took the decision then, to send the main stage company back to the rehearsal room and start emptying the theatre, taking the set down, taking the seating down. That’s so the tent can be collapsed, repaired, put up and on we will go.”
This means Bard on the Beach’s schedule will be delayed by one week. Performances from June 3rd to the 9th as well as the 16th will be cancelled.
Organizers say if you’ve purchased tickets for the affected performances, you’ll be contacted and given a refund or booked to an alternate show. For more information click here.
