If you want to take advantage of the sunshine this weekend by flying a kite, head to the Pacific Rim Kite Festival Saturday and Sunday at Vanier Park.

The Vancouver International Storytelling Festival features local and international storytellers and runs all weekend at Dr. Sun Yat Sen Garden in Chinatown.

Looking for something fun to do with the kids?  The Coquitlam parade and teddy bear picnic gets underway Sunday June 13th with the Grand Parade between 9:45 a.m. to 11 a.m.  The parade starts at the Coquitlam Centre and goes along Pinetree Way before ending at Town Centre Park where you can visit the Teddy Bear Picnic.

The Teddy Bear Picnic runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Town Centre Park, 1299 Pipeline Rd., and is full of fun for all young children.  Enjoy lots of hands-on activities.  It’s not a bad price either, the cost is $3 per child and children under three get in free.
