CARY, N.C. (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Whitecaps played the Carolina Railhawks to a 2-2 draw in game two of their five game road trip. The Caps went up 2-0 on goals from Martin Nash who scored from the penalty spot in the third minute.

Phillipe Davies made it 2-0 Caps in the 15th minute. The Railhawks came storming back with goals in the 40th minute by Mark Schulte and then equalized with Josh Gardner’s goal in the 45th minute.

The single point for Vancouver keeps them nine points clear of second place Carolina in the NASL Conference, but the Railhawks have four games in hand.

The Whitecaps next game is Friday in St Louis.
