Study: Men more confident than women about savings

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – They have different opinions on how to drive, what to watch on TV, and apparently, how much is enough when it comes to saving money.

A new Scotiabank study sheds some light on the financial habits of men versus women. A full third of men asked think they’re saving enough money, while only one in five women thinks so.

Both agree they feel much better when they have a financial safety net, but more men than women have a plan to stitch that net together. Slightly more men than women sock a little away every month, but a lot more men are better prepared financially to cover three months of living expenses.

It’s women who are more likely to change their spending habits in order to save some cash.
