VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A man has been convicted for the second time of having sex with women without telling them he was HIV positive.
According to The Province newspaper, a B.C. Supreme Court judge found Adrian Nduwayo was guilty of five charges of aggravated assault involving five women. He was acquitted of two other charges.
Nduwayo learned from a doctor he was HIV positive in 1996. However, he had unprotected sex with the five women between 1997 and 2003, infecting three with the virus.
He was convicted of the charges in 2005 but a judge overturned the decision and a new trial was ordered.
