KANDAHAR, AFGHANISTAN – Another Canadian soldier has died from wounds suffered in Afghanistan.

Cpl. Brian Pinksen, a member of 2nd Battalion, Royal Newfoundland Regiment, based in Corner Brook, N.L., was wounded by an improvised explosive device while on patrol in the Panjwaii district of Kandahar on Aug. 22.

Pinksen was treated and flown to a military hospital in Germany, where he died earlier today from his wounds.
