Travelling now will spare your wallet

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Summer holidays are over, which means there are deals out there for travellers.

One of the first tips in the thrifty traveller’s handbook is to save a few vacation days for after Labour Day when prices start to tumble.

Claire Newell with Travel Best Bets says there are a bunch of deals this time of year. “As far as Europe is concerned, the charter airlines are still flying until mid to early October, so if you can get away over the next few weeks, you save yourself a bundle.”

Newell says there are flights into London and Glasgow right now for under $300 before fees and taxes.
