Premier Campbell has lowest approval rating in Canada

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – He barely has the support of his own party and he’s losing the confidence of voters. An Angus Reid poll shows Premier Gordon Campbell has the lowest approval rating of any premier in the country at just 12 per cent.
Speaking live on News1130 earlier was University of Victoria Political Scientist Michael Prince.
He says some may be trying to think optimistic. “I mean those who advise caution here and not panic will say, ‘Look we’re still a long way from May 2013 for an election. The HST – people will get used to; there will be another couple of budgets.”
Prince adds increasingly we’re seeing Liberals quitting before their term is up, and Campbell may be another casualty. He says November’s Liberal convention in Penticton may just be the “sobering” wake-up call Campbell needs.
