Suspicions raised about a blogger attacking city opposition

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Opposition councillors in Vancouver are demanding to know if taxpayer money was used to pay a blogger who they say is attacking them online.
The mayor’s office accuses NPA councillor Suzanne Anton of trying to score political points. They deny funding or maintaining civicscene.ca, the blog in question. But Anton says she wants to see the money trail. “If that was funded by tax dollars out of the Mayor’s office that is very, very bad.”
She says the blogger is on the payroll of the PR firm hired by Gregor Robertson. “Nearly $28,000 was paid to that PR firm. What was that money used for, there is no explanation…”
Anton has a motion on the table at a council meeting next week, where she will be asking the mayor to spell out his relationship with the blogger and the PR firm, FD Element.
