Students disgusted with gang rape case

PITT MEADOWS (NEWS1130) – Special assemblies have been held at a secondary school in Pitt Meadows attended by the teenaged girl who was gang raped by a group of men last weekend. Students were warned about the dangers of date-rape drugs and posting images to the Internet.
Many students said they couldn’t understand how something like this could have happened. Police say the 16-year-old victim was drugged before a half-dozen people had sex with her in a field.
Mounties have arrested an 18-year-old man who could face charges of sexual assault and a 16-year-old boy in connection with the photos being posted on the Internet. Both have been released.
Police say photos of the victim being gang raped may remain in cyberspace forever. Police are working with Facebook to have all photos removed, but they admit it’ll be a huge challenge.
