MONCTON, NB-Newfoundland residents hit by Hurricane Igor are continuing to clean up and dig out.

In the Town of Gambo, the fierce storm caused a rock slide that surrounded homes with rubble.

Ed Humphries is one resident, who says, it’s the third time in three years his home has been damaged in a major storm.

Hurricane Igor hit Eastern Newfoundland hard, washing out roads and isolating dozens of communities.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper has said Ottawa is ready to provide disaster assistance.
