Local Tamil community helping MV Sun Sea migrants

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The local Tamil community is helping the migrants from the MV Sun Sea who have been released from detention, settle into Canada.
David Poopalapillai from the Canadian Tamil Congress says that includes helping the released migrants find a place to live.
He says local Tamils are making sure one of the released migrants who just gave birth is being well taken care of. Poopalapillai expects it will take a few more months to finish the detention process for all of the 492 migrants.
So far over 20 migrants have been released.
