Toy drive for the needy kids

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The 32nd annual Toy Drive has wrapped up for another year. The event raises money to buy toys for needy families during the holiday season.

The Drive organizer Rob Jones-Cook says several thousand motorcycles left Coquitlam Centre this morning and went through the PNE grounds. “The B.C. Coalition of Motorcyclists organizes the event on behalf of the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau. We have those toys donated to us, which we then share with ten other Christmas Bureaus within the GVRD.”

He says new children toys wrapped in plastic and monetary donation are always welcome. For more information on how to donate, go to lmcb.ca.
