Reward for information about Abbotsford temple fire

By

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS1130) – It’s been over a month and a half since a suspicious fire destroyed a Sikh temple on Townshipline Road in Abbotsford, and police still haven’t made an arrest.

Constable Ian MacDonald tells us the insurance company has now put up a $10,000 reward, hoping the case will be solved.

“We have been actively investigating that incident. We have received some detailed information from a couple of key witnesses. But the extent of that information and the detail of that information leads us to believe that there are definitively other witnesses who have information.”

He says the temple was about 70 years old, and its destruction had a big impact on the Sikh community .
