Cactus Club offers light drink menu

BURNABY (NEWS1130) – You’ve heard of lighter food choices on a menu. Now there’s a lighter drinks menu to go with it.

The Cactus Club is rolling out some low-alcohol options because people have been drinking less since BC introduced new impaired driving penalties.

Bar manager Sam Zavari says they’re offering cocktails with half an ounce of booze instead of a full ounce.

“We have a beer option that is three per cent alcohol, another that is four per cent, whereas standard beers are five per cent,” he explains.

The new menu was unveiled at the Lougheed restaurant on Friday and should be available at all of the other stores by the end of the week.
