Canada’s Chief of Defence Staff says Monday’s guilty pleas by Colonel Russell Williams will begin a healing process that will no doubt take many years.
General Walt Natynczyk added that upon formal conviction, the military will move quickly to release Williams from the Canadian Forces.
Natynczyk also extended his sympathies to the victims of Williams’ crimes and their families.
