Quest for justice three years after Surrey Six murders

By

SURREY (NEWS1130) – It has now been exactly three years since the worst gang-style killing spree in BC history.

Steve Brown is the brother-in-law of one of the innocent victims Ed Schellenberg.  He was with Schellenberg the day the fireplace repairman was killed inside Whalley’s Balmoral Condo Tower.  Brown would have likely died there too had Schellenberg not sent him home.

Charges against five men were laid last year, but Brown knew they should not have been on the street in the first place.  Since Schellenberg’s death, he has become a vocal critic of the justice system.  “I think it’s time for the public to stand up and demand our rights and be taken seriously by the government and the rights of criminals.”

Brown will be speaking on these issues at a Town Hall meeting at the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium in Abbotsford.  The event runs from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
