Women in Canada wary about retirement investments

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Canadian women are worried about putting their hard earned money into investments for their retirement. Only four percent of women in Canada are confident with their retirement savings and investments.

That’s according to a new study by TD Waterhouse. But Senior VP Patricial Lovett Reid says saving your dollars isn’t as complicated as it might seem.  “Boring is beautiful. Having boring investments that really make money. But [have] a balanced approach… that means money in the stock market, but also in fixed income like corporate bonds.”

As for how much they might need when it comes to retirement savings, Reid says it all depends on the kind of lifestyle you want to have once you decide to retire.
