Trouble for roads and power as first snow hits

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The low temperatures and snow have taken a toll on our roads and power.

There are thousands of BC Hydro customers without electricity, both across the Lower Mainland and on Vancouver and Bowen Islands.

If you are heading out on the roads make sure you proceed with caution.  One commuter tells News1130 that snow on some roads on Vancouver Island is almost a foot high.

TransLink says the SkyTrain is running normally and there are transit attendants at every station.  Bus service is good in every area, except for the #17 which isn’t running along University Boulevard.
