Quaid immigration hearing put over

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Randy Quaid hopes to stay in Canada where he will be safe from “Hollywood star whackers.”  His immigration hearing has now been put over until next month.

He didn’t say much to reporters on Tuesday, but we know how Quaid plans to spend Christmas in Vancouver.  “Killin’ time.”

His lawyer Catherine Sas is asking for more time to go through a pile of documentation related to Quaid’s admissibility.

She adds there are two separate but simultaneous processes that are being dealt with.  “The admissibility hearing deals with the allegation regarding the charges he’s facing in California and that has to be responded to.  The refugee hearing is a separate matter concerning his fear of returning to the United States.”

Even if Quaid is denied admissibility he could be in Canada for a year and a half while his refugee claim is processed.
