SURREY (NEWS1130) – Landlords in Surrey can get in on a crash-course that teaches how to keep their properties safe. The “Crime Free Multi-Housing” program is designed to help owners, managers and residents keep illegal and nuisance activity off their rental properties.
The program’s Tanya Wong says they’ll go through a number of tips. “What kind of locks and security devices to use on property, how landscaping is important in crime prevention,” she outlines, adding there will even be a component about how to screen potential tenants.
The seminar happens Wednesday, at the Newton community policing office.
