Teen upset after pat-down at Sudbury airport

By

The Minister of State for Transport is investigating after a 15-year-old Pickering, Ont., girl was subjected to a public pat-down search while flying to Toronto out of the Sudbury airport last Saturday.

Carly Finn, from Pickering, Ont., was chosen at random for the secondary security screening.

She told the Toronto Sun the search upset her.

Her mother, Christine McCann, said she feels like she let her daughter be molested.

Government officials told the Sun that passengers have the right to have their pat-down search done in private, but the Sudbury screener said they didn’t have the facilities to offer that option.
