Most dangerous crossings for cyclists

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Some drivers behave badly and some cyclists ignore the rules but it only takes one to cause a crash.  ICBC has released the 10 most dangerous intersections for cyclists in Vancouver.

One woman News1130 chatted with one woman who told us she’d like to bike around town, but she’s more than a little intimidated.  “I’m not aggressive enough to drive on streets that are big, with so many cars.  And Vancouver drivers are really fast.”

One man tells us he recently had a close call with a cyclist.  “I ran into one a couple of weeks ago.  A cyclist went right through a red light, I was going through a green light, and I didn’t hit him obviously.  It was very close.”

The top three on the list are East 2nd Avenue and Main Street; Burrard at Davie Street and East 10th Avenue at Clark Drive.
