Backlash to too much Christmas music

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – How much Mannheim Steamroller can you take? News1130 chatted with folks who work in retail over the holidays too see how they handle it.
Listening to the soft vocals of Neil Diamond singing Silent Night over and over and over again.
The Christmas music starts in stores in November and it remains on loop until Santa Claus comes to town. Some retailers workers find all the holiday cheer a little trying in repetition.
One man told News1130 that he’s about to shove the little drummer boy’s sticks where the Christmas star don’t shine.
But there are some workers that just seem to get happier as the music continues to play. One woman tells us it puts her in “a festive mood. It puts people in the spirit of shopping and it keeps reminding you that Christmas coming.”
