VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Bloedel Conservatory is partnering up with the Vancouver Park Board to put on its first-ever annual holiday laser light show called the “Jewel Box of Lights.”
John Coupar, who helped organize the event, calls it a tropical wonderland. “Still the plants are really the stars of the show. We really didn’t want to have it overpowering with the lights. We wanted the lights to really highlight the beautiful green area, and the birds, and everything inside. So it’s really quite a magical experience.”
Coupar adds it’s a perfect Christmas event, if it’s too cold to do any outdoor Christmas activities. He also says the light display is best seen after sunset, when it’s dark.
It features thousands of multicolored lights and lasers and is on everyday until January 2nd.
