Canucks are hot going into Christmas break

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canucks go into a two-day Christmas break as one of the hottest teams in the NHL.  After last night’s 7-3 win in Columbus, Vancouver has just one loss in regulation in the last 14 games.

The hot run has the Canucks sitting one point behind the Dallas Stars and Detroit Red Wings for first place in the Western Conference standings.

Vancouver also lead the Colorado Avalanche by three points atop the Northwest Division standings and they have two games in hand on the ‘Lanche as well.

The Sedin twins are leading the way as Daniel and Henrik both have 19 points in their last 13 games and Ryan Kesler is on a six-game point scoring streak in which has he five goals and five assists.

Vancouver picked up five out of a possible six points on their latest road trip that ended Thursday night.  The Canucks are back in action Sunday night when the play host to the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Arena.
