Homeless man with “golden radio voice” fields job prospects

CLEVELAND, OH (NEWS1130) – A homeless Ohio man with a radio voice has become an online sensation. The job prospects are flooding in, including one from the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA.

ABC News reports ESPN and MTV have expressed interest in Ted Williams’ voice, after an online video commanded millions of views. WNCI Radio in Columbus invited him in to talk about his struggle with drugs and alcohol, and what he says is his recent sobriety. He says, “This is such an experience, I just don’t know how to feel. I don’t have a train of thought right now.”

Williams will visit his mother in Brooklyn for the first time in years, and a telethon to end homelessness wants him to narrate promotional advertisements.

You never know who the guy is who’s holding a sign and asking for help.
