VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A man in Lynnwood, Washington has transformed himself into a self-styled superhero and is patrolling the streets in a black and gold costume. “Phoenix Jones” wears a bulletproof vest, and carries a Taser and pepper spray under his superhero suit.
Striking fear into bad guys everywhere, he’s driven around by his girlfriend in a Kia. Our fair city has crime, and we too have citizens who need saving. So we took to the streets asking if you are willing to be a superhero.
“Definitely we need a superhero, but I’m not willing to do that. I cannot bear that responsibility. I don’t have the expertise,” says Pushpa.
Graham says he’s not willing to do it for the whole city, but he has to do it for his boss. “So I guess I’m the superhero of this establishment! This is a hotel. My job is to make sure everyone sleeps through the night, is not disturbed, and their cars are fine. I am Hotel Man!”
By the way, police do not like this. They warn people in comic book costumes are lucky not to be mistaken for criminals themselves.
