Conrad Black won’t be re-tried

By

CHICAGO (NEWS1130) – Former media mogul Conrad Black will not be re-tried on so-called honest services fraud charges.

The prosecution told that to the judge in federal court in Chicago today. Those are the two convictions that were overturned by an appellate court recently. Two convictions were held up.

The judge in Chicago could re-sentence Black on the retained convictions, or allow him to stay free based on time served, two years out of a six and a half year sentence.
