VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Beaver Lake in Stanley Park is quickly filling up with plant waste, and could dry in up in the next decade or so.
So the Vancouver Park Board unanimously voted to hand over 100- thousand dollars to a consultant to figure out how to save it.
The lake was a popular recreational spot a century ago, but in 1929 it had to be dredged.
Experts believe whatever the solution is, it will likely involved that.
