VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The San Antonio Rampage doubled the Abbotsford Heat 4-2 today in American Hockey League action in San Antonio. Brandon Kearns, the son of former Vancouver Canuck defenseman Dennis Kearns, scored one of the Rampage’s goals.
The Heat would open and close the scoring with goals from Delta’s Keith Seabrook and Matt Keith. The Heat are now 1-2 on their current ten game trip, which resumes Friday against the Houston Aeros, the AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild.
The Manitoba Moose
Meanwhile the Canucks’ Manitoba Moose farm team were 3-0 losers to the Hamilton Bulldogs. Former Canuck goaltender Curtis Sanford made 31 saves for the Hamilton shutout in front of over 10,000 fans, mostly school kids at Hamilton’s Copps Coliseum.
