Dianne Watts heading to India

SURREY (NEWS1130) – Surrey Mayor Dianne Watts is heading up a trade mission to India next week, along with some university and college reps hoping to attract students to the city.
“There are universities in India that want to match up with Simon Fraser and Kwantlen,” says Watts.
She adds, “There’s also programs whereby we will train people from India, then send them back to do the work in India. There are a lot of relationships that go back and forth.”
Several companies will participate in the networking mission. Watts says the city has been focusing on Asia, as well as trade with the US when it comes to potential business in Surrey.
