Police: Drunk driver passes out on the road in Saanich

SAANICH (NEWS1130) – A Vancouver Island man was hauled off to the drunk tank this afternoon after police say he was found passed out behind the wheel.

Saanich police say people went in to check on the guy after he started blocking traffic on the road. No one was hurt, but it looks like he wasn’t quite finished his beverage. They found a big bottle of booze between his legs.

After waking up, he tried to drive away, but police quickly caught and arrested him.
