Abbott confident he’ll be in top two of Liberal race

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Confidence isn’t a problem for at least one Liberal leadership candidate.  George Abbott is convinced he’ll be one of the two finalists in the Liberal leadership race.

He was even showing support for an NDP leadership hopeful yesterday.  On his way into the Legislature, he threw on an Adrian Dix campaign button and even posed with the New Democrat party leadership hopeful.

An opinion piece in this morning’s Vancouver Sun says Abbott also hinted at the fact he believed he would be one of two names on the final ballot.

At this point, some internal polling numbers released by his camp put him in second spot, with Christy Clark at the top.

The Liberals will pick a new leader on February 26th.  News1130 will have full coverage leading up to and including the day of the vote.
